Frequently asked questions.

What's your methodology?

We believe in being fair. You set the goals, we give you the plan, and your dog decides what tools/ treats we use and how fast we get there. Our toolbox is full of e-collars, toys, prongs collars, slip leads, flat collars, treats, and more. Everyone is different and so is your pooch. They'll show us what items motivate them to complete a behavior and which items detur them from engaging in other behaviors. Plus, we practice what we preach. Everything we ask of you is everything we do with our own dogs. We will never ask you to do something we aren't willing to do ourselves. Nobody likes a hypocrite, not even your dog. Check out our pillars page to learn more about our core beliefs.

How long will training take?

Every family is different. Training timelines depend on you and your dog. Are you and your dog able to pick up training concepts quickly and have extra time on your hands to practice? Then we'll move through your program quickly. Feel like you need more time with each concept, your dog is being a bit stubborn, life is hectic and making time can be tough? No worries. We'll move a little slower to make sure we're training your pooch well. Check with your trainer about your progression to gain a more precise estimate. But overall, everyone's journey is different, as long as you put in the work,we'll adjust to make sure you and your pooch stay successful.

How do payments work?

The lump sum of your program is due at sign up or your first session. We accept all forms of payment. cash, Venmo, credit cards, etc. If you're curious about payment plans, let us know. We would be happy to work something out. We want to make the process of training as simple as possible. Since, your financial investment will be the smallest investment you make during your training journey.

If I sign up for a Board and Train, will my dog forget me or resent me?

No, your dog will not forget you. They will remember you. They might be in their feelings a bit after drop off, since they’re in doggy bootcamp. But, within a couple days they’ll learn that the program is the best place to be. They’ll make new friends and learn how to be calm, confident and happy dogs!
